KOC awards Saipem US$850 million onshore contract

The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has awarded Saipem an onshore engineering and construction contract worth an estimated US$850 million.

The scope of work includes the construction of a system of pipelines of varying diameters, approximately 450 km in length, for the transportation of crude oil and gas from various KOC South Tank Farm manifolds to the new Al Zour refinery on the coast of the Arabian Gulf.

NEXUS gas pipeline gets approval

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has given the go-ahead for construction of the controversial $2 billion, 257-mile NEXUS Gas Transmission pipeline project that will go through northwest Ohio.

GAIL begins construction of stalled Kochi-Mangaluru pipeline

New Delhi: State-owned gas utility GAIL India Ltd Wednesday said it has begun construction work on its long- delayed Kerala stretch of the Kochi-Koottanad-Mangaluru- Bengaluru gas pipeline project.

The project, which had been stalled due to land acquisition problems, will cost Rs 3,263 crore.
