Russia delivers pipes for Turkmenistan-China pipeline

Aug 26, 2013 Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plan Group (ChelPipe) which is one of the largest companies manufacturing pipe products in Russia, completed a shipment of large diameter pipes for the construction of the third stage of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline. The pipeline started operating in 2009 and is intended to supply Turkmen gas to China through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Currently work is being conducted to increase the pipeline’s strength.

US to probe nine countries for selling steel pipes at unfairly low price

Aug 03, 2013 The US Commerce Department launched a probe against South Korea, India, Vietnam, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Ukraine of unfair and illegal trade practises. A new KMPG report found a lack of supply chain visibility in the metals sector

Jul 16, 2013 A lack of visibility into the supply chain is impacting the sector’s ability to respond to, and recover from, sudden supply chain disruptions.
