Summit Midstream starts open season for new pipeline

Summit Permian Transmission, a subsidiary of Summit Midstream Partners, has opened a binding open season for transportation capacity on its proposed Double E Pipeline.

The project will connect the Northern Delaware Basin with Waha, Texas, transporting gas from various receipt points.

The open season started on 6 August and will conclude on 14 September.

Double E will service Eddy and Lea Counties, New Mexico and Loving, Ward, Reeves and Pecos Counties in Texas.

The pipeline will also have multiple direct downstream connections, based on shipper demand and preferences; additional receipt laterals and extensions are also being contemplated.

The size, capacity and route of the pipeline will depend on, among other things, the level of interest from the open season.
