Exxon Mobil and Plains partner on a Permian pipeline project

Exxon Mobil and Plains All American Pipeline plan to build a new pipeline that will add 1 MMbpd of takeaway capacity for Permian Basin crude oil and condensate.

The Irving-based oil giant signed a letter of intent with Houston’s PAA to form a joint venture for the project, which would transport oil to from multiple locations in the Permian Basin to the Texas Gulf Coast.

Morocco and Nigeria sign gas pipeline project deal

Morocco and Nigeria signed a cooperation agreement to build a gas pipeline across West Africa on the occasion of a two-day official visit by Nigerian President Mohammed Bukhari to Morocco.

Sweden greenlights Russian gas pipeline Nordstream 2

Sweden’s government has approved the Nordstream 2 undersea pipeline project to transport Russian gas to Germany. « National and international law does not permit Sweden to reject the application of a pipeline outside Swedish territory » explained minister for enterprise and innovation, Mikael Damberg in a press conference on Thursday.

Finland and Germany have already approved the project, leaving Denmark as the only country not having accepted the project.

The European Union and Turkmenistan are committed to implementing the Trans-Caspian pipeline project, designed to bring Turkmen hydrocarbon resources to European markets, said the Head of the EU Liaison Office in Ashgabat Lubomir Frebort in his welcoming speech on occasion of Europe Day, reports the Nebit-Gaz newspaper of Turkmenistan.
